Nepean Athletic Club life member list is growing over the years. To make the list, each member has achieved 10 years of continues service to the club. Now that's dedication and commitment, but as they say...time fly's when your having fun!
Assisted the club as a committee member for many years & as a walks coach of Nepean, one of his athletes was selected & competed in the Commonwealth Games in 1990.
Was Secretary of Nepean resigning in 1980. He was made a life member in 1988.
Was a coach for Nepean with great success and secretary in the early 1970's and held the position for some years. Mavis & her husband assisted in transporting our athletes to competition.
Don became involved with athletics when his children started at Little Athletics at Nepean. After a serious illness returned and became secretary before taking the position as President before moving to the Central Coast in retirement.
Kevin became a Life Member in 1988 after serving on the committee for many, many years, in various positions. His children became interested in walking & he become a very well known walking coach, with many competing at State , National & International we cannot name them all. He is sadly missed by all.
Mark was an athlete with Nepean Athletic Club for many years, retiring after representing at State, National & International level. He competed at the 1988 & 1992 Olympics to mention a few.
Belinda first joined Nepean as an athlete in LA’s following through to seniors, and is now coaching some of our athletes while still competing herself at club level & Masters Championships.
Melinda came through the ranks of LA’s to seniors, representing at State & National level.
Represented Nepean at club, State & National levels in walking events & up to a couple of years ago was still competing.
Joined Nepean at an early age, Gabrielle has & still is competing at Club, State & National levels.
Joined Nepean at the age of 9yrs and is still competing to day, she has served on the committee in several positions.
Became a life member in 2011, Annette is our walks coach & competes at club, state & National levels, holding many positions on the committee.
Ron became a Life member in the late 1980’s, has been treasurer for ever. He has run our Wednesday nights for many years to mention a few things he does. Ron turns 80yrs this year (2014), so you are never to young or to old to assist.
Appointed as the club secretary in 1991 and still holds the position today. Her own children were athletes within the club, and now her grandchildren are club members. Evelyn become a life member in 2001.
